Australia name under-19 squad for series against India

MELBOURNE: Australia on Monday announced a 15-member squad to take on the Indian Under-19 team in a five-match series, comprising three One-dayers and a couple of Three-day matches, starting April 7 in Hobart.
The Selection Panel also named a 31-man preliminary squad ahead of the 2010 Under-19 World Cup.
The three One-day matches and two Three-day matches against the India Under-19 side will be played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart and the WACA Ground in Perth.
"The squad to face India provides a great opportunity to all players selected to test their skills and performance against the reigning world champions at under-19 level," selection panel Chairman Geoff Tamblyn said in a statement.
"The squad contains some players who have had a little taste of first-class cricket in Australia and will provide those players and others with further experience."
The squad for the series against India will assemble in Hobart on April 4.
