NEW DELHI: Former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin is among the 14 candidates announced on Friday by the Congress for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Mohammad Azharuddin will contest from Moradabad in western Uttar Pradesh. Sanjay Singh, who belongs to the royal family of Amethi, is the Congress candidate from Sultanpur.
Former BSP MP Ramesh Dubey, who deserted his party to join the Congress last week, will contest from Mirzapur.
