DURBAN: The ICC Elite Panel umpire Steve Bucknor, who is officiating at his last Test match between Australia and South Africa in Cape Town, was honoured by the International Cricket Council on Saturday.
Bucknor, 62, was presented with a painting by the ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat at a brief ceremony on the third day of third and final Test match of the series.
The painting is a collage of different faces that the cricket fraternity has come to know of the West Indian over the years.
The Jamaican earlier announced his retirement from umpiring in the international level with the two upcoming ODIs between West Indies and England in Barbados on March 27 and 29 being his last assignments.
