NAGPUR: Aniruddha Chore cracked an unbeaten half-century to steer Ruby Club to triumph in the Guzder League at the VCA Civil Lines ground here recently.
In a one-sided final, Ruby Club trounced Indian Gymkhana by six wickets. Ruby skipper Azhar Sheikh won the toss and elected to field first. Indian Gymkhna were skittled out for 195 in 42.2 overs. Rajnish Gurbani top-scored with 63 hitting seven boundaries and a six.
Subham Yeotikar (37) and R Sanjay (34) were the other main scorers. For Ruby, Sanjog Binkar and Azhar Sheikh scalped three wickets each. Prajwal Bania claimed a couple, while Sachin Kataria and Ashish Chavan took one wicket each.
Ruby Club raced to the target in just 37 overs with six wickets, courtesy Chore, who knocked off 61 in 79 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Binkar (32), Iklakh (30) and Sachin Kataria (29) also batted well.
Left-arm spinner Himanshu Joshi claimed three wickets for 46 runs.
