BANGALORE, November 15: Continuing with his sparkling form, former India captain Rahul Dravid followed up his double century in Mumbai with a flawless ton in Karnataka's Ranji Trophy Super League match against Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
Dravid, no longer figuring in the India ODI squad, came up with a well-made 121 as the hosts ended the opening day at 271 for four at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, after skipper Anil Kumble won the toss and opted to bat.
Dravid had made 214 and helped his state team draw against Mumbai in an away Ranji Trophy encounter last week.
He consumed 180 balls and hit four sixes apart from 12 fours during his over four-hour stay at the wicket. He was bowled soon after the tea break by Vikramjeet Malik on a delievery, which kept low.
Dravid put on 131 runs for the second wicket with KB Pawan (56) after Karnataka lost opener Barrington Rowland (seven) early. C Raghu contributed 58 (8x4).
At stumps, Yere Goud was batting on eight and VS Thilak Naidu on seven.
Brief scores: Karnataka 271-4 in 91 overs (Dravid 121, Raghu 58, Pawan 56; Malik 2/53, Vishal Bhatia 2/73).
