Former Australian Test player John Dyson has been named West Indies cricket coach, replacing temporary appointee David Moore.

Former Australian Test player John Dyson has been named WestIndies cricket coach, replacing temporary appointee DavidMoore.Moore, an assistant to former head coach Bennett King, tookover the top job after King put in his papers following the team's dismal WorldCup campaign on home turf.Dyson coached Sri Lanka in 2003 after DavWhatmore relinquished the post."The rest of the team Management willbe identified and appointed subsequently. Additionally, the Board has identifieda candidate for the post of CEO, subject to the agreement on terms andconditions of service as well as specific performance deliverables," the WestIndies Cricket Board said in a statement.In addition, the Board hasapproved a leadership and motivational programme at the High Performance Centrein Barbados for senior West Indies players, and a camp for the team at the samevenue prior to the start of the Zimbabwe-South Africa tour.TheBoard, with the agreement of the West Indies Players' Association (WIPA), hashired a security consultant to report within a week on whether the tour ofZimbabwe should take place.
