MUMBAI: Jain Irrigation won the 'B' Division Times Shield Championship when they beat Future Group by virtue of the first innings lead of 87 runs, on the second day of the three-day final in BKC. This is the third title that Jain Irrigation have won in the Times Shield. They won the 'C' Division title in 2009, and in 2011, they emerged victorious in the 'B' Division.
Resuming at 85 for one in pursuit of 226 for the first innings lead, Jain Irrigation made 312 for five when both the captains decided to stop the game. The highlight of their innings was a 97-run knock (137b, 8x4, 2x6) by Mansigh Nigde, who was unlucky to miss his fourth century. He finished with 765 runs in the tournament.

Rajiv Mehra (51) , S Kapse (41) amd Kunal Nar (43) were the other run-getters. Left-arm spinner Sagar Mishra was the pick of the bowlers with three for 82 in 25 overs.

Nirlon in command Nirlon are in a strong position at the end of the second day of the three-day 'C' Division final at the MIG ground in Bandra. Nirlon who were 205 for nine, were bowled out for 230 in morning. Serco India 'B', were bowled out for 146, with Manoj Jadhav (54) and Arman Shaikh (34) being the main run-getters. Spinners Ankit Shastri 4-35, H Merchant (3-42) and H Buchad (3-22) did the damage for Nirlon. After taking the first innings lead, Nirlon were120 for six in the second innings. J Pardeshi scored 60, while P Mudaliyar took three wickets.
