Liyan Khan's ton puts City on top

BANGALORE: Liyan Khan's 177 powered Combined City XI to a commanding 358 on the first day of their two-day SA Srinivasan memorial U-25 cricket match against Secretary's XI, here on Thursday.
In another match, Pratik Jain's five-wicket burst and Pawan Deshpande's 101 helped Bangalore Zone gain first innings lead against Mangalore. Besides Jain, Sashi Shekar claimed three wickets to bundle out Mangalore for a paltry 115.Bangalore, in reply, were 245 at close with Abhishek Reddy (65) holding the forte.
Centuries from Karun Nair (154 not out) and Abhinav Manohar (106) combined with Sinan Abdul Khader's five-wicket haul gave President's XI first innings lead against Raichur Zone.
