MELBOURNE: Australian side Victoria Bushrangers have roped in hard-hitting Kiwi batsman
Ross Taylor as a last-minute replacement for
Sohail Tanvir to play in the domestic Twenty20 Big Bash after the Pakistani all-rounder pulled out of the tournament due to a knee injury.
The Bushrangers signed Taylor yesterday, who will join WestIndian Dwayne Bravo as Victoria's international players for the 'KFC Big Bash'T20 challenge, the Australian Associated Press reported.
Taylor isonly the second international replacement for Victoria in the Big Bash.
Incidentally, Tanvir himself was a replacement for Sri Lankan spinwizard Muttiah Muralitharan, who opted out of the event due to nationalcommitments.
Pacer Clint McKay will also join the team tomorrowafter being relieved from the national team duty.
The Bushrangersface Queensland in the tournament opener at the Gabba on Monday.
