In a wild blend of sports fandom, viral humor, and a splash of celebrity buzz, one Dallas Cowboys superfan has shot to internet fame — thanks to a tattoo that’s equal parts bold, bizarre, and brilliantly executed. Nick Jones, a 29-year-old police officer from Delta, Ohio, now wears a permanent piece of art featuring Kansas City Chiefs star
Travis Kelce in a cheeky pin-up pose, complete with red gloves, boots, and an oversized can of Accelerator energy drink. But, what started as a quirky dare turned into viral gold.
Fan gets wild Travis Kelce tattoo just to impress Taylor Swift—what was he thinking?
The inspiration? A challenge issued by Accelerator Active Energy, a brand endorsed by none other than Travis Kelce, who promised 25 cases of their product and a signed jersey to anyone daring enough to get the tattoo. Jones, who saw a viral Jason Kelce tattoo circulating online, figured he could take it a step further — and he did.
“I had to help Travis get a bit bigger, better tattoo,” Jones shared with TMZ Sports. “They made me an offer. It was a hell of an offer. So I said, ‘You know what? I got to do this.’”
The result? A vibrant, full-color tattoo on his thigh featuring a nearly-naked Travis Kelce holding a flaming Accelerator can in front of his crotch.
The attention to detail is hard to ignore — especially since Jones humorously pointed out that Kelce’s can is “bigger than the Eagle head between Jason’s legs,” referencing the now-famous tattoo of his brother.
While Jones is a die-hard Cowboys fan, his admiration for Kelce runs deep — particularly through fantasy football. But part of his motivation was fueled by rivalry, especially after the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win.
“I couldn’t let an Eagle have all the spotlight,” he explained. “I had to back Travis up.”
With Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift constantly making headlines, Jones was asked about how the pop icon might react to his bold body art.
“My feeling is she would love it — just the fun nature of it,” he said. “It’s a badass tattoo. It’s gonna be a fun conversation starter.”
Even his daughters, who are huge Swifties, are hopeful that the superstar will notice the ink and maybe even comment on it.
Jones has no intention of hiding the tattoo either — in fact, he’s eager to show it off, especially if the Chiefs play the Cowboys in Dallas this Thanksgiving.
“The tattoo comes with its story,” Jones added. “A tattoo with a good story is key.”
And in this case, it’s a story that’s already taken the internet by storm — one thigh, one can, and one Kelce at a time.
