NEW DELHI: Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams, who displayed an incredible performance with 158 rushing yards against the Arizona Cardinals last week, could potentially remain sidelined until Week 11 as he deals with a lingering ankle injury.
As reported by ESPN, Williams is expected to miss the upcoming game and could be sidelined for several games to allow for his injury to heal properly, which may take up to a month, encompassing the Rams' bye week in Week 10.
1x1 polls

The Rams, currently standing at a 3-3 record, are preparing to host the Pittsburgh Steelers, who hold a 3-2 record, in their next matchup.

Williams, who unexpectedly emerged as the Rams' primary running back, has played a pivotal role this season, leading the team with 97 carries for an impressive 456 yards and six touchdowns across six games. He took over this role after Cam Akers, who struggled in Week 1 with 22 carries for a mere 29 yards, was demoted and eventually traded.
Head coach Sean McVay confirmed that Williams, along with primary backup Ronnie Rivers
, who is recovering from a knee injury, will be unavailable for an extended period. McVay also revealed that rookie Zach Evans would assume the primary ball-carrier role. In addition to this, the Rams signed Royce Freeman to the active roster to reinforce their running back depth.

On Wednesday, the Rams further bolstered their running back corps by signing Myles Gaskin, who was previously with the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. Gaskin, 26, brings a wealth of experience, having accumulated 1,355 yards and seven touchdowns in 38 games, including 17 starts, during his four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
The Rams have challenging matchups ahead as they face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 on October 29 and the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 on November 5 before enjoying their bye week in Week 10.
If Williams requires the entire four-week recovery period, he should be prepared to make his return in Week 11 when the Rams host the Seattle Seahawks on November 19.
