Robert Griffin said racism should never be accepted but then brought up private claims about Angel Reese hating Caitlin Clark. This twist confused and angered fans. On July 11, Ryan Clark responded with strong words, questioning Robert Griffin’s real intentions and calling out his public behavior.

Robert Griffin III, also known as RGIII, tweeted on July 10 that the photo showing Angel Reese as a monkey was “racist and unacceptable.” However, in the same post, he also added that he heard from Angel Reese’s “inner circle” that she hates fellow WNBA player Caitlin Clark.
This extra comment quickly turned the conversation away from racism and into personal rumors.Angel Reese clapped back on X, saying:“Lying on this app when everybody know the first and last name of everybody in my circle for clout is nastyyyy work.”Her mother and several fans also denied Robert Griffin’s claims.
They said no one close to Angel Reese ever told him anything like that. Many questioned why Robert Griffin added that part at all if his post was about stopping racism.

Ryan Clark said Robert Griffin should have stood strong against the racist image and not dragged Angel Reese into a new fight.Ryan Clark said:“He had to make himself both the victim and the hero of this story.”He also said:“If you never support people that look like you, you are also part of the problem.” Ryan Clark accused Robert Griffin of turning attention away from the real issue i.e racism and turning it into a personal drama. He asked Robert Griffin to stop making it about himself and focus on helping people who are being disrespected online.
