Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been dating for more than a year now, so they have had ample time to learn about each other and start establishing a life together. It appears that Kelce might have inadvertently had an impact on some of Swift's music.
While Swift concludes her Eras Tour and Kelce looks back at his NFL experience, the duo is now relaxing together for the first time ever since they went out. A source has recently spoken with The Daily Express that Swift is recording a new album and embarking on a 2026 tour. The source also said that Kelce has potentially been the inspiration behind some of Swift's future work.

Travis Kelce might have inspired Taylor Swift in her new album

Taylor Swift is in the process of taking a prolonged vacation after the end of her almost two-year "Eras Tour." The tour ended in December after 149 performances on five continents and a stunning $2 billion worth of ticket sales.

It's reported that Swift will have some time off vacationing with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who is also recovering from an active NFL season. But a new report from the Daily Express suggests that Swift is on the cusp of making a major announcement, possibly revealing her next studio album and an upcoming tour.
“Taylor is in the development stages of her new album which will be released at the end of the year," a source at AEG, the entertainment company that served as the promoter of the "Eras Tour," told Daily Express. "She wrote songs backstage on her last tour and bosses at AEG have been told to prepare themselves for another tour in 2026.”
The source also stated that Kelce might have inspired Swift in her new album. "People who have heard some of the ideas say it’s inspired by a lot of what she’s been through including her relationship with Travis and changes in her friendships, specifically Blake Lively," the source told The Daily Express.

Us Weekly reported that Swift plans to work on a new album this year and is considering re-entering the music industry in 2026. “She had such a great experience on 'Eras,'" Us Weekly's source revealed in December. "She really wants to do it again. She loves being with all her fans; it inspires her.”
