Just days remain before Super Bowl 60 between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. Patriots legend Tom Brady recently shared a heartwarming picture of himself with team owner Robert Kraft on Instagram Story and captioned it: “You know I got your back RKK [fist bump]. Get that 7th ring so we can match [seven ring emojis].”
Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots and a seventh with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also shared a picture of both of them with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, captioned: “I bet even Roger is rooting for you [face with tears of joy emoji].” But what about Seahawks legend
Russell Wilson?
Only after the Seattle’s NFC championship win over Los Angeles did Wilson post on X: “Sam Darnold’s comeback story over the past 2 years has been one of the most inspirational things to watch! Cool seeing him overcome!!! Congrats bro. Hope you win it [trophy emoji]. Go Hawks.”
Russell Wilson is now busy adoring his wife Ciara at Uber One party
After that congratulatory post, just days before the Super Bowl, Page Six shared footage of the New York Giants quarterback [contract expires in March 2026] admiring his wife, Ciara, with the caption: “The stars are arriving to the Uber One party in San Francisco! If there's one thing Russell Wilson is going to do it's admire Ciara on a red carpet [brown heart emoji].”
His latest Instagram Story features First We Feast’s reel with the caption: “Get ready for a celebrity power couple showdown when [Ciara] and [Russell Wilson] go head to head on the next #HotOnes Versus Will the champion QB take the title, or will Ciara make him say “1, 2 Step” right out of the hot seat? Make your predictions below.”
Could it be due to the Russell Wilson interception that cost Seattle a Super Bowl?
Russell Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks faced Tom Brady’s New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. Wilson threw a slant pass to wide receiver Ricardo Lockett, though many expected it to go to running back Marshawn Lynch.
Patriots rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler stepped in and intercepted the pass. The Patriots won the Super Bowl as a result. Head coach Pete Carroll took the blame. Wilson said at the time, “I had no doubt in the play call. It looked open enough… When I threw it, it was -- Touchdown. Second Super Bowl ring. Here we go.”
Reflecting on this event, Wilson told Fox News Digital just before the 2025 season, “I look at all the collection of great moments and tough moments along the way. But I’ve had a lot of great moments. I always look forward to the next moment.
I think that’s always been my mentality of being able to look forward to the next play, the next moment… I think it’s the baseball in me… every pitch is a new pitch, a new day. They’ve asked me a lot about my experiences in terms of all the highs and all the amazing moments, and really our work habits daily.”
Meaning, Wilson is reportedly no longer focusing on the interception that cost Seattle the Super Bowl over a decade ago.
