Kelly Stafford, the wife of NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford, shared her experiences during his uncertain future with the Los Angeles Rams. She recalled the three weeks that seemed like months before he decided to stay with the team. The podcast episode on March 6 discussed the challenges faced by Kelly and Matthew.
Kelly Stafford on the challenges she faced amid her husband Matthew Stafford's uncertain future
Kelly Stafford doesn't have much tolerance for ambiguity. During the March 6 episode of The Morning After podcast, she spoke candidly about the frustration she experienced while her husband, Matthew Stafford, deliberated his future as the Los Angeles Rams' quarterback.
Prior to his eventual decision to stay with the team he has been a part of for so long, Kelly, 35, considered the torturous three-week time frame that "seemed like three months" as Matthew, 37, considered other contract possibilities.

Her four children praised her husband for not getting worked up when making the decision of this magnitude—one which, had he decided against re-signing with the Rams, could have meant a big relocation for their family. Still, Kelly acknowledged that, even though he was calm, the uncertainty frustrated her "f**king mad" throughout that stressful and nerve-wracking period.
"He’s [Stafford] very good at compartmentalizing everything. Me on the other hand, when he says you think about the uncertainty all the time you go crazy, I went f------ mad, I went so crazy,” she said on the podcast.
This NFL offseason has put Matthew Stafford in the headlines, especially after the Rams granted him permission to explore options with other teams in February. One notable suitor was the New York Giants, who reportedly offered a contract valued between $90 million and $100 million. Meanwhile, Stafford was said to be aiming for a deal around $50 million per season.
