Julian and Julia’s story started long before stadium lights and packed schedules. They met as teenagers at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, Illinois. Julia was a year older, and Julian was just 16 when he first asked her to the homecoming dance. Years later, he still looked back on that moment with gratitude, writing, “I’m so thankful that I decided to ask you to the homecoming dance.”College kept them close in a way that felt almost meant to be. Julia attended Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana, while Julian played football at Notre Dame.
