Russell Wilson is the second quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the franchise is not interested in trading him. As far as the source close to the situation with Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network said: "There haven't been any no-trade talks over Russell Wilson recently."

The Team Performance

Through three games into the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting at 3-2 with Fields leading the offense. "Fields is beloved in that locker room," said Pelissero, according to Bleacher Report. To say the good vibes within the locker room are pegged to a very centered view of being with their starting quarterback. One would think Steelers would be to ride out the season with Fields at the helm at least. Also Read - How NFL Players Invest

Wilson's Recovery

Wilson is confirmed active for the game this week against the Las Vegas Raiders which will be his first appearance of the season since he's been out with a calf injury. "There is that feeling he might get out there at some point in the next few weeks," Pelissero said about the Steelers quarterback situation.Fields had been much improved this season, completing 67.6% of his passes for 961 yards with five touchdowns but only one interception. Additionally, Fields has run for 172 yards and three touchdowns, really showing out great agility and speed with the run that, other toughness aside, made him a good candidate to get drafted into the NFL in 2021.

So, it may well be one of the reasons why they are not willing to exchange the veteran quarterback; the front office may be deciding on the position of the quarterback since they feel that their pick matters. Also Read - Record Breaking Viewership of NFL
