Just as Seattle Seahawks rookie fullback Robbie Ouzts missed the NFC championship game against the Los Angeles Rams, Harold Landry shares a similar story: the 29-year-old Patriots outside linebacker missed the AFC championship game against the Denver Broncos. Now both are listed as questionable for Super Bowl Sunday.
Landry was a limited participant on Friday because of a knee injury. Patriots players Robert Spillane and Joshua Farmer also carried the questionable tag. However, Farmer was downgraded to out just a day before the Super Bowl LX game against the Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Will Harold Landry III play against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl Sunday?
According to Friday’s injury report, only three Patriots players are listed as questionable: linebacker Robert Spillane [ankle], outside linebacker Harold Landry III [knee], and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer [hamstring].
Landry did not practice on Thursday and was limited on Wednesday and Friday. Spillane did not practice on Wednesday and was limited the rest of the week.
Farmer practiced all week as a full participant and was listed as questionable because of a hamstring, but just a day prior to the Big Game, he was downgraded to out for Super Bowl LX.
Like New England’s captain and linebacker Robert Spillane, who was confident about playing in the Big Game, Landry also shared his excitement in his final interview of the week.
“I’m pretty confident that I can help the team in any way they need me to do it,” Landry said. “It’s been tough all year being in and out, trying to play through what I have going on. It’s been trash.
I hate not practicing because I’m a guy that likes to work on my specific game plan for that game, and when you can’t practice, you’re kind of going into the game just hoping you’re on all cylinders.”
