Years of friendship can suddenly fade as decades pass by, making one wonder, “What’s one friendship you wish you would have kept in touch better with over the years so you could be invited to their wedding?” This sentiment rings true for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s long-lost supposed friend, Aaron Fulk. Their paths crossed multiple times, but then they lost touch, and their meetings ceased. Despite the distance, Kelce remained in Fulk’s heart and mind, inspiring her to post a TikTok video featuring old photos of herself with the star tight end and Taylor Swift’s fiancé. In a conversation with Meredith Wilshere of PEOPLE, Fulk elaborates on her history with the 10-time Pro Bowler.

Travis Kelce and Aaron Fulk shared involvement in local charity

Aaron Fulk’s memories with Travis Kelce go back to a time when Tony Gonzalez was the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end. Gonzalez frequently participated in a local charity called Shadow Buddies. In 2013, when Gonzalez left and Travis Kelce took over that position, Kelce expressed a desire to give back in the same way. “When he was leaving and Travis Kelce was coming, Kelce said, ‘I wanna give back.’ I sat on the board with him, and he came to the events.” Fulk told Wilshere. Fulk, now 45, also shared that Kelce, now 35, was always “so kind and nice."

Taylor Swift’s NFL fiancé Travis Kelce called in Aaron Fulk to be part of the reality dating show

Fulk next recounted events from 2016, three years after Kelce became a tight end, when E! News announced it would create a reality dating show centered on Kelce called “Catching Kelce.” At that time, Kelce did not have many contacts outside of his Chiefs teammates, so he called in people from the Shadow Buddies to participate in one episode.
That’s how Aaron Fulk reconnected with Kelce for the show.
Fulk told Wilshere, “The board all went and were extras on the date. It felt real. They told you where to sit, and it really was fun. I didn’t notice the cameras as much, and Kelce felt very authentic.”

Travis Kelce and Aaron Fulk share a connection called Abigail Anderson (yes, Taylor Swift’s best friend)

Abigail Anderson, Taylor Swift’s long-standing best friend (since 2004), is also Aaron Fulk’s friend from the University of Kansas. In 2010, Abigail and her boyfriend invited Fulk to see Abigail’s friend perform at a nearby concert, introducing Fulk to the singer for the first time. Yes, the singer was Taylor Swift.Thirteen years after that first introduction, Fulk brought her daughter to see Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. This was the period when Kelce developed feelings for Swift and tried to get in touch with the star. Reflecting on this, Fulk felt, “I think they’re adorable.”
Bringing the story to the present—now that the tight end and the billionaire popstar are set to get married—Fulk posted a TikTok video featuring her old photos with her long-lost friend, Travis Kelce. She captioned it: “What’s one friendship you wish you would have kept in touch better with over the years so you could be invited to their wedding?”
