Sachin, Prabhuti win tennis titles

JASSOWAL: Prabhuti Singhania of Harvest Tennis Academy (girls' singles under-14), Sruta Kirti Gunuganti of Andhra Pradesh (girls' singles under-12), Sachin Kumar (boys' singles under-14) and Vasisht Cheruku of Karnataka (boys' singles under-12) won the titles in their respective categories in the AITA Super Series 2011 at Harvest Tennis Academy in Jassowal on Friday.
Both Prabhuti Singhania and Sachin Kumar scored a hat-trick by winning the title in under-14 singles event in the AITA Super Series in Chandigarh (March 21), HTA-AITA Championship Series (March 28) and HTA-AITA Super Series (April 4).
In the girls' singles under-14 final, Prabhuti Singhania of Harvest Tennis Academy gave no chance to Isha Budwal of Madhya Pradesh with her straight win over her 6-0, 6-0. It proved to be wake up call for Isha but couldn't make a comeback of sorts as it was too late. The set went against the serves most of the time. Prabhuti took the second set again at 6-0. In boys' singles under-14 final, Sachin Kumar of Chandigarh defeated Shrey Gupta of Haryana 6-2, 6-1.
In girls' singles under-12 final, Sruta Kirti Gunuganti of Andhra Pradesh defeated Isha Budwal of Madhya Pradesh 6-3, 6-0. In Boys' singles under-12 final, Vasisht Cheruku of Karnataka defeated Karandeep Singh of Punjab 7-6(4), 6-0.
