Gujarat government to provide Rs 10 lakh assistance to six Olympic athletes from state

In the Olympic Games 2021 to be held in Tokyo from July 23, six women athletes of Gujarat have been selected. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to each selected athlete for the achievement of women in the field of sports.

GANDHINAGAR: In the Olympic Games 2021 to be held in Tokyo from July 23, six women athletes of Gujarat have been selected. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to each selected athlete for the achievement of women in the field of sports.The six women athletes of Gujarat who will get the assistance of Rs 10 lakh each are Maana Patel in Swimming, Elavenil Valarivan in Shooting, Ankita Raina in Tennis, Sonal Patel and Bhavina Patel in Para Table Tennis and Parul Parmar in Para Badminton, who will compete with athletes from around the world at Tokyo Olympics-Paralympics.The Chief Minister has also given best wishes to these six women athletes to succeed in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics-Paralympics. It is noteworthy that Tokyo Olympics-2021 will be held this year from July 23 to August 8 and Paralympic Games will be held from August 24 to September 5 in Tokyo, Japan.
