John Cena is set to compete at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event for the last time, and he has an opportunity to etch his name at the top of the records in regard to the chamber match.
John Cena is moving fast-paced on his highly acclaimed 'Farewell Tour' that kicked off on the debut edition of RAW on Netflix. The Cenation Leader is next to compete in the 2025 Men's Elimination Chamber match, which will be his last time inside the match as an in-ring competitor. With The Last Time in the Chamber, Cena has an opportunity to ascend to the top of the records in regard to the Elimination Chamber.
Can John Cena's potential win set a new record in the history of Elimination Chamber?
Over the years, John Cena has competed in 7 Elimination Chamber matches. Out of those seven appearances, the 16-time World Champion has emerged victorious in three of those chamber matches. Cena won his first bout in 2006, where he retained his WWE Championship against other competitors. In 2010, John Cena won the WWE title in the chamber match; however, he lost the title to Batista moments later after the chamber match was over in an impromptu match made by Vince McMahon.
John Cena's last victory was in the year after that, in 2011. He once again outlasted five other competitors to earn a WWE championship opportunity in the main event of WrestleMania 27 against The Miz. It is something he would be looking to do this year when he competes in his last chamber match.
However, should John Cena win the 2025 Men's Elimination Chamber match, he will tie WWE Hall of Famer and CCO Triple H for the record of most chamber matches with four. The Game emerged victorious in four chamber matches ( 2003, 2005, 2008, and 2009) out of the six matches he competed in during his time as a full-time performer.
According to multiple reports, John Cena might just tie Triple H's record as he is a heavy favorite to win the 2025 Elimination Chamber match. Moreover, a report by Dave Meltzer stated that Cena was locked in to win the chamber match in early October or November 2024. His potential victory will lead him to the main event of WrestleMania 41 to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title, which will be his last time at The Show of Shows as an in-ring competitor.
