Cody Rhodes Fuels Speculation with Major Title Twist Tease for Crown Jewel

Cody Rhodes’ recent interview with Pat McAfee has got the people talking. First, there was a cryptic conversation between the two that suggested that The Rock could return at Bad Blood. This was followed by Cody dropping a teaser for a title twist that could take place at Crown Jewel. As we all know, Cody will be teaming up with Roman Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood 2024.
Since this is a tag team match, Cody’s title will not be on the line. However, Cody has assured the fans that WWE will drop a mysterious vignette during Bad Blood that will have major title implications when WWE heads to Saudi Arabia for their Crown Jewel PLE. “Not on-the-line this weekend, but there is something that happens at Bad Blood,”
“I’ve got to keep it vague, but there are big title implications for Crown Jewel moving past this weekend… a little spoiler there.”

Rhodes has been WWE Champion for 180 days now, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he drops the title at any of the upcoming PLEs. However, Cody had to jump through a lot of hoops and go through Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. So, for him to drop the title, he needs an opponent who is worthy of the belt.
If we think about it, Roman Reigns and a handful of other superstars are the only ones who are worthy of a shot at the WWE title. So, it is unlikely that Rhodes will drop the title so soon. However, we could see a new challenger rise up for the belt. Talks suggest that The Rock could come back and challenge Cody Rhodes.
On the other hand, John Cena’s retirement tour is almost upon us, so it would also make sense for him to come back and make one final run for the belt. Regardless of what Rhodes is teaching, fans can be assured of some exciting moments in the upcoming race for the Undisputed WWE Championship belt.
