The current Chief Content Officer of
WWE Paul Levesque aka
Triple H is one of the greatest superstars to have ever graced the WWE ring. He entered WWE as a rookie in 1994 and has not left since. He is married to the daughter of former CEO of WWE, Mr
Vince McMahon, and has piloted the ship exceedingly well after the departure of Mr McMahon.
On his 55th birthday, we look at all the
Championships won and accomplishments of the King of Kings-Triple H in WWE
Championships won by the Cerebral AssassinThe game has won a total of 23 championships in WWE.
The first time he won a Championship in WWE was in 1996, when he won the Intercontinental championship from Marc Mero. He has won a total of 5 Intercontinental championships in his career. If we talk about the WWF/ WWE title, he first achieved it on 23rd August 1999 against Mankind. In total, he has won 9 WWF/WWE Titles in his career, with the last coming in 2016, which he won along with his Royal Rumble victory. He is a 5 time World Heavyweight Champion too, with the first of that Championship coming on 2nd September 2002, which was awarded to him by the then GM Eric Bischoff. The last time he won the World Heavyweight Championship was on 9th January 2005.
Triple H's 14 World Title victories
He is a triple Crown champion, and a Grand Slam champion also. Along with that, he has won the Royal Rumble twice in 2002 and 2016. Triple H formed the most memorable tag team in the world with Shawn Michaels(DX) thrice in his career, first in 1997, then in 2006 when the animosity between the two got resolved and then again in 2009. This was the most loved and popular tag team in the world in the late 2000’s mainly due to the actual friendship between the duo. Ironically, the DX faction(which had some more members in the 90’s), was also the most hated team in the late 90’s. Paul is a three time Tag Team Champion too. Not to forget he is a two time European Champion to go with it. The name ‘King of Kings’ was given to him after he won the 1997 king of the Ring tournament. Triple H will forever be celebrated as one of the most crude heels of all time with some of the most villainous acts orchestrated by him.
Raw: DX vs. Jeri-Show - Unified Tag Team Championship Match
What he is doing for the WWE right now, after the Vince McMahon Era, is commendable and arguably the Paul Levesque Era has started. The moral of his story would be, Triple H would not be remembered just for the Championships won by him in his wrestling career, but also for his contribution to the business of pro wrestling on a whole. He is one of the most shrewd minds in the history of sports entertainment and should be cherished always.
