Lillian Garcia is beloved by the
WWE fans for her work as ring announcer. Apart from announcing matches, Garcia also has a beautiful voice and was usually the one who sang the American National Anthem before Monday Night Raw kicked off. Garcia wasn’t just confined to WWE and sometimes even gave performances for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.
It is quite clear to see just how wanted and talented Garcia was while she was still a ring announcer. Unfortunately, her time with the company came to an abrupt end back in August 2016. Ever since then, fans have been wondering about Garcia’s sudden departure from the company. Now, she has finally shed light on the matter. Let’s take a look at what Lilian Garcia had to say about her departure from WWE:
“My father got really sick, and I took care of him. We found out at the end of 2015 that he’s got bladder cancer, and I moved him in with me because the hospital in South Carolina where he lived had run out of options. I moved him in with me in March 2016, and he was going to City of Hope, and they were trying all sorts of different experiments on him.”

Shortly after Garcia’s dad got sick and began treatment, the doctors informed her that he only had a little bit of time left to live. That is when Lilian made the tough decision to leave WWE in order to care for her father during his last days. During her interview, Garcia remembered how the doctors gave her dad three months to live.
However, under her care, he managed to live five months before passing away on Christmas Day in 2016. Till this day, Garcia does not regret the decision to leave her job for her father. From the looks of it, Lilian probably doesn’t have any plans to return to WWE at the moment. But, fans are still wishing for her to return.
