Roman Reigns defeated Jason Jordan
Take nothing from the fact that Jason Jordan is an impressive in-ring performer. After a solid match against Cena last week, Jordan faced the Big Dog in the first match of the night, and pretty much like the week before, cut a promising figure in the ring. Reigns declined a handshake from Jordan but that didn't deter one half of the former SmackDown Live Tag champs to throw caution to the wind. But Reigns was just that much better. Attempting a Superman punch, Reigns fell into a Cross-face but escaped soon. Even Jordan tried to seize the initiative by back-to-back Suplexes, Reigns kicked out. He then put the finishing touches with a drive-by, Superman punch and spear.

Reigns v Cena, Round 3
Each time Cena and Reigns hold the microphone, tempers flare. And Round 3 of their verbal jibes was once again proof of the bad blood between them. Shortly after Reigns' match with Jordan, Cena came out fired the first shot, accusing Reigns of not being upto mark in their verbal duels. Reigns countered by saying that Cena returned to the WWE afraid that Reigns might become the top guy and that WWE needs Cena more and not the other way around. Cena however, had the last laugh, mentioning to Reigns that he's just like a 'drug test' which Reigns can't get through. You could cut the tension with a knife.

Strowman ambushes Lesnar, again
If the past few weeks have determined something, it is that Lesnar just can't seem to find a way to take down Strowman. So this week, it was Paul Heyman who did the talking and needled the Monster to fight Lesnar. The monster obliged and the two behemoths went at it. Lesnar ducked a clothesline from Strowman and landed the German Suplex on him. But to his horror, Strowman got up as soon as his body landed on the mat. As Lesnar looked in disbelief, Strowman grabbed him by the neck and chokeslammed him followed by the running Powerslam. Strowman 4, Lesnar 0

Sasha Banks defeated Emma
Emma's search for title opportunities landed her a match against Sasha Banks, one of the title contenders at No Mercy, but the Australia lass put up a good fight against the four-time Women's champion. But the experience of The Boss allowed her to lock in the Bank Statement to pick up the win. Women's champion Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax, who looked on from the commentary table, went backstage only to know that Raw General Manager Kurt Angle had sanctioned a match between the two. And if that wasn't enough to ruin Alexa's night, the news of Asuka debuting next week the Red brand only made it worse.

Bray Wyatt defeated Goldberg
As the Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt readies himself to face Fin Balor in a 'Man-to-Man' match, he made a statement in his match against Goldust. The Bizarre one had his moments but a Sister Abigail was enough to send Goldust back to the drawing board. But it was what happened after the match that must have rang alarm bells in the Balor camp. Wyatt stripped the paint off Goldust's face indicating that face paint isn't something that can stop him. Balor came out to aid Goldust but Wyatt sneaked out. There would be no such opportunity come No Mercy though.

John Cena defeated Braun Strowman but at what cost?
Cena's first real challenge since returning to the WWE: The Monster among men. Having already punished Lesnar earlier in the evening, Strowman this time set his eyes on Cena. He was aggressive from the moment the bell rang and had the upper hand on the 16-time champ. Cena fought back and retaliated with the Attitude Adjustment that sent a Strowman rolling out of the ring. As Cena tried to go behind, Strowman connected the Steel Steps on Cena's face which called for an automatic disqualification and then executed a running on them leaving Cena dismantled in the ring. Cena may have won the match but the sight demonstrated a different picture altogether. All this while though, Reigns calmly kept looking at the action backstage.
