Roman Reigns received a medical update about his health after
Seth Rollins attacked him during the Royal Rumble event. The announcement from Monday Night Raw commentator Michael Cole revealed that Roman Reigns will need rest time and will be absent indefinitely from the organization. As
WWE moves towards Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania, Reign is expected to be part of WrestleMania but may not appear on a regular basis.
Seth Rollins Snaps on Roman Reigns and CM Punk After Elimination at Royal Rumble 2025
After a wild brawl at the Royal Rumble on Saturday, Seth Rollins attacked Roman Reigns. During their battle both Rollins and Reigns were near elimination at the same time. The fight ended when CM Punk managed to eliminate both wrestlers simultaneously. But
Logan Paul was present in the ring, and removed CM Punk from competition right afterward.
Things escalated outside the ring while the Rumble was still going on. All three- Reigns, Rollins, and Punk, got into a heated confrontation. During the chaos, Rollins stomped Reigns’ head into the mat. He later hit another stomp on Reigns, this time on the steel steps, leaving “The Tribal Chief” down and out.
The brutal Stomp Seth Rollins delivered to Roman Reigns outside the ring was a way for WWE to temporarily remove Reigns from TV. After that, Rollins and CM Punk kept fighting, but there was no official update on Reigns’ injury during the Royal Rumble event. WWE didn’t provide any details about his status until Monday Night Raw, just before the main event, when they announced how long he would be out.

Roman Reigns Out For The "Foreseeable Future" From WWE
Cole later announced that Reigns would be out for the foreseeable future, leaving questions about his participation in Elimination Chamber as WrestleMania 41 approaches. Meanwhile,
John Cena is one participant, as is CM Punk, who qualified after winning a match against Sami Zayn on Monday Night RAW. Four more competitors will get the chance to qualify, starting next week as Rey Mysterio takes on Logan Paul. Whoever wins the Chamber will get to challenge the champion Jey Uso doesn't choose after winning the Men's Royal Rumble match.
Reigns’ absence adds a major wrinkle to WWE’s Road to WrestleMania. It is assumed he wouldn't miss such a big event, but it's not at all clear how much time he'll take from this brutal attack.
