Even before Kelani Jordan’s match kicked off, we had some indication that we’d be in for a surprise tonight. Wendy Choo had already made it known to the public that she would not be taking on Jordan alone. There was a lot of speculation from the fans, with everyone trying to figure out just who Wendy Choo has teamed up with.
Well, the reveal left a lot of jaws on the floor.
As Kelani waited in the ring to face her next opponent, TNA superstar and former champion, Rosemary’s entrance music came on. Choo somehow managed to get Rosemary on her side and send her to the ring to take down Kelani Jordan. But, Kelani prevailed. Let’s take a look at how Rosemary’s WWE debut went.
Rosemary was as scary as ever for her WWE debut
Rosemary has been known to be an unsettling fighter ever since her glory days at TNA, and she proved the same to be true tonight. The TNA star went through a world of abuse and took a dropkick to her face, but shrugged it all off and got in Kelani Jordan’s face as if absolutely nothing had happened.
Rosemary didn’t just stick to mental games either and managed to land quite a few meaningful hits on Kelani Jordan. The NXT Women’s North American Champion also found herself in a choke hold, but she was lucky to escape and managed to turn things around from there. Despite going up against such an experienced and vicious opponent, Kelani Jordan never allowed herself to get on the back foot.
Towards the end of the match, Kelani found herself in the corner, and it seemed like Rosemary was about to do something special. However, Jordan was able to stomp Rosemary to the ground. With her opponent laid out, Kelani maneuvered up the ropes to land a corkscrew moonsault and brought the match to an end.
Taking on and defeating Rosemary is not an easy achievement. Clearly, Kelani Jordan isn’t the NXT Women’s North American Champion just for show. However, much to her surprise, Jordan was ambushed right after her win over Rosemary. Wendy Choo targeted a tired Kelani and cut off the lights as she made her way to the ring.
While Kelani scrambled and tried to figure out what was going on, Choo used the confusion to her advantage and caught Jordan in another choke hold. This time, Kelani couldn’t escape and passed out in the middle of the ring. Surely, the champion will not let this slide and will try and get revenge on Wendy.
The dynamic between Wendy Choo and Kelani Jordan works very well. Now, with the addition of Rosemary, Choo’s dark creepy gimmick can go up to a whole new level. It’ll be interesting to see what WWE has in store for Wendy Choo, Kelani Jordan and most importantly, Rosemary over the coming weeks.
