Samsung is reportedly gearing up for its next flagship cycle upgrade with the launch of Galaxy S26 series next year. In a latest leak, alleged photos of Galaxy S26 Ultra have appeared online, giving a hint at the camera design change with the upcoming Samsung phone. Images and a brief video posted by OnLeaks on X (formerly Twitter) reportedly shows a dummy Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. While the overall shape of the handset seems identical to last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, the camera module appears to be updated with a new design similar to that of Galaxy Z Fold 7. In the leaked photos, one can see a raised camera island housing three camera sensors.


Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra expected launch date

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S26 series in February 2025. While there is no official announcement from the company, it's expected that Samsung may carry forward its launch timeline in 2026 as well. The company may follow its three-model strategy, which may include the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and the S26 Ultra.

On the specifications front, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Under the hood, the phone may come with a substantial performance boost by incorporating the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Like last year, this chipset may also be optimised for Galaxy phones.
The processor will reportedly feature up to 16GB of RAM and internal storage options up to 1TB.Coming to the cameras, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to come with the best camera that the company has to offer. The quad camera setup is suggested to come with a 200MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP Telephoto camera lens with 5x optical zoom and an additional 10MP shooter. The handset is believed to run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box.Coming to the battery, the smartphone is rumoured to pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 60W wired charging – up from 45W in Galaxy S25 Ultra model – and 20W wireless charging.
