Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez are set to tie the knot in Venice this week. With pre-wedding festivities kicking in, several celebrity guests have arrived at the venue. On Thursday (June 26) afternoon, several guests were seen leaving the Gritti Palace Hotel for the evening’s events, reports CNN. High profile guests at Bezos’ wedding include US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey among others. Guests are staying in luxury hotels and receiving welcome gifts, including Venetian glass and local sweets. The city has seen heightened security arrangements, with guards stationed around key locations like the Chiesa della Madonna dell’Orto and other venues involved in the events.

Bezos, 60, and Sánchez, 54, got engaged in 2023. The wedding is one of the most high-profile events in Venice this year, drawing parallels to earlier celebrity weddings hosted in the Italian city.



Among the celebrity guests spotted at the wedding venue was Kim Kardashian, who was seen dressed in a snakeskin outfit. She was joined by her sister Khloe and mother Kris Jenner. Ivanka Trump, in a cherry blossom dress by Oscar de la Renta, was seen with husband Jared Kushner and their children.

Leonardo DiCaprio was also photographed at the wedding venue, trying to shield his face with a cap. While actor Orlando Bloom and singer Katy Perry were seen amid breakup rumours. Model Vittoria Ceretti, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Tom Brady, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner have also arrived.


Corey Gamble and Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, fashion designer Sarah Staudinger are among celebrities who have arrived in Venice for the three-day wedding celebration.

Jeff Bezos-Sánchez wedding attracts global attention

The wedding celebration of Bezos and Sánchez is expected to last three days, attracting global media attention due to the guest list and the scale of the event. “It’s taking over Venice,” a local resident was quoted saying, pointing to the large crowds, media presence, and restricted movement around parts of the city.


According to a People report, parts of Venice have been turned into a “fortress-like operation.” Originally, a wedding party was planned at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, a historic former religious school. However, the event was shifted due to safety concerns.
