One of India's most recognised modern art galleries, Chatterjee & Lal was formed by husband and wife team Mortimer Chatterjee and Tara Lal in 2003 with the premise of providing a space for Mumbai's more avant-garde artists.

The Colaba gallery, housed in a Victorian-era warehouse, features various multimedia works including video, performance, and sculptural installations. Having fostered emerging talent like Rashid Rana and Nikhil Chopra, the gallery has attracted international acclaim, selling work to illustrious institutions around the world. A bastion of progressive Mumbai, Chatterjee & Lal is well worth a peep.
