Known by some as the ‘Beverly Hills of Geneva’ Cologny is an expensive, slightly sniffy district close to Lake Geneva where the rich have lavish, often vast homes. The fantastic vistas these houses have of Lake Geneva is probably the reason they were built in the first place, as well as the excellent access they offer to the water. If you want to get an inkling of how living here might feel, you can try both water skiing and wake boarding yourself in the district's Wake Sports Centre. Read less

The fantastic vistas these houses have of Lake Geneva is probably the reason they were built in the first place, as well as the excellent access they offer to the water. Cologny isn't only about conspicuous consumption, however. It also houses the Bodmer Library and Museum, a priceless, internationally significant historical library, many of whose treasures are on display to the public.
