Tipple of choice: The Titan Birra Rossa (Red Beer) is the bar’s most popular homebrew by quite some distance, although at 6.3 percent alcohol it can be quite overpowering.

Word to the wise: If you want to sample some of their hearty food with your brew, its best to reserve a table, as they book up quick.
Its easy to look no further than the seductive selection of Tuscan red wines while in Florence, but equally authentic and locally-produced are the lesser known yet still impressive Tuscan beers.

Artisanal birreria (micro-brewery) Il Bovaro, is renowned for its superb home-brews - a Pils, a Red and a Doublebock - which you can sample in their traditional beer hall, complete with wooden tables and barrelled seating. Real beer geeks can also take a tour to see the entire brewing process, from barley to beermat.
