The Chinese Pilot (Kitaisky Lyotchik Jao Dais) is one of those bars known more for its intellectual discussion than its wild all-night parties. The philosophers tend to take their cigarettes and novels to the battered looking tables in the room to the right, while if you head to the left you can catch the local Russian bands looking for a break live on stage.
The pilot theme encompasses a bar made from a jet plane wing and artwork depicting the life of the heroic World War II Chinese Pilot Jao Da, whose descendents opened this bar in his honour over a decade ago.
