This C-shaped promenade and adjacent road curves around the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point past Chowpatty Beach to Malabar Hill. Lined with art-deco houses - Miami is the only other city with more art deco buildings - and modern skyscrapers, the area is one of the city's most desirable.

The palm tree-lined promenade is a popular spot for courting couples, busy families and friends taking a sunset stroll towards Chowpatty Beach. Avoid the promenade in the middle of the day, when you can almost see the heat radiating off the concrete.
