Word to the wise: Contrary to its name the Long Hall is not particularly spacious, so arrive early for the chance of a seat.

You'll find no loud music or gorilla doormen at the much-treasured Long Hall, just genuine, traditional decor and an unpretentious ambience that makes it an essential stop-off on any Dublin trip.
The listed building has retained most of the original features - mahogany bar, ornate plasterwork ceilings, stained glass and Victorian lighting - and has a wonderful collection of old pub paraphernalia on the mirrored shelves behind the bar. Reasonably priced (for the city centre) pints poured by friendly staff close the deal.
