An international museum chain famous for its incredibly life-like celebrity wax figures, Bangkok’s Madame Tussauds is the only one that can be found in Thailand. In fact, the only other Madame Tussauds in Southeast Asia is in Singapore. Others are stationed throughout the globe, in major cities like Berlin, New York, and Sydney. The very first opened in London over 2 centuries ago; how’s that for standing the test of time? Regardless of what you might think of wax figures, there’s no doubt that Madame Tussauds is a true pop cultural institution—and one that’s as entertaining as it is infamous.
Exploring Madame Tussauds in Bangkok is an experience you won’t soon forget. You can see realistic-looking wax figures of actors like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Jackie Chan; musicians such as Lady Gaga; and cultural luminaries including Beethoven, Albert Einstein, and Pablo Picasso. It’s also the ideal place for a fantastic photo op: just stand next to your favorite celebrity or historical figure, and freeze the moment forever to share on social media or with friends back home. Tickets are a little pricey at over 1,000 THB a pop, but the memory will last a lifetime.
