The street market in the corner of Wangfujing draws tourists with its vibrant colourful exuberance. It is abuzz with typical Chinese lanterns, cacophony of vendors and tourists and jarring Chinese music. Anything that is touristy can be experienced here. There are street side stores selling famous Beijing yogurt, chestnuts, kebabs, buns, dumplings and desserts. You can also find cheap Chinese souvenirs in one of the corners. And then there are some offering really touristy bites, like fried live scorpions. Yes, you heard it right! There are live scorpions, sea horses and starfish served on sticks! Daring ones can try these supposedly mouth-watering delicacies, besides safer options such as lamb or pork kebabs. Another popular spot to check out is Donghuamen Night Market. Whether you try scorpions or not, these street markets are a must visit for street food lovers and adventurers!
