Kiran calls Mumbai home, but is never far from her next trip. Her job involves zipping across the globe, but she insists it is hard work. She has checked into ashrams, lived with strangers in Europe, and tried her hand at extreme sports in Australia, etc., all in an effort to bring you back a story. In addition to the Times Group, she has contributed to National Geographic Traveller (India), Hindustan Times, Spenta Multimedia, The Hindu etc., where she recounts her globe-trotting adventures.
The building appears almost sepia-toned, with glowing green stained glass windows adding to its haunted air. It was a local government structure built by the British. Today, it lies almost empty but is open to visitors. There are a few artifacts, mostly covered in dust. But it's the building itself that serves as the main attraction—the vintage stairwell, the carved niches, the old, sometimes broken, window panes etc. It works as a way to transport you back in time since the structure remains largely untouched over the centuries. Now, if only the walls could talk.
