The statement also stated that it is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus, owing to the high number of engagements that he carried out in his public role during the recent weeks. The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested, but the results are negative. Now, as per the Government and medical advice, the Prince and Duchess have gone to self-isolation at home in Scotland.
Also, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday made an announcement in which people have been banned from leaving their homes apart from setting out for very limited reasons. The Prime Minister in fact imposed the most stringent restriction that Britain had witnessed ever since the end of World War II.
These restrictions essentially will send the United Kingdom into lockdown, with the Prime Minister further assuring that the measures will be reviewed after three weeks.
The said rules come into effect with the number of Coronavirus cases accelerating in the country. Boris stated that such measures are further essential to keep the UK’s health care system from collapsing under pressure.
