Parc Floral Phoenix

A colourful trip through the tropics
Word to the wise: As they are both slightly out of town and located within the same grounds, it's worth combining a visit to Parc Phoenix with the Musée des Arts Asiatiques.

Set in a sprawling three hectares of land housing the Musée des Arts Asiatiques, the Parc Floral Phoenix is home to more than 2,500 species of flora and fauna. The landscaped outdoor gardens surrounding the park's lake are home to a medley of indigenous birds and Mediterranean plant life, but the real showstopper is the huge glass greenhouse or 'green diamond'.
At 25m-high and with a surface area of 7,000 square metres, this is one of the largest greenhouses in Europe. A steamy journey around this tropical hothouse takes you through seven distinct areas where plants have been organised according to their habitat - reward patient kids with a trip to the basement, where the tropical fish, arachnids and an assortment of creepy-crawlies hide out.
