You’ll recognise this square from countless TV shows, films and news reports. At night, New York City’s biggest spectacle glitters with neon lights, with street performers jostling for attention, tourists posing for photographs, and theatre-goers rushing to catch the latest blockbuster play at Broadway. Did we mention restaurants, clubs, bars and shops at every corner? It’s the theatre of kitsch, but there’s nothing else quite like it in the world.
