Delhi Government’s new attraction to dissuade people from bursting firecrackers
It has been reported that this time, it will be a four-day celebration, and will be celebrated from October 26 to 29. This festival is being hosted by an event management company in association with the tourism department. The event is looked upon as a Delhi Government’s initiative to dissuade people from bursting firecrackers.
Referring to this, an official stated that popular artists and bands will be gracing the event, and there will be no entry fees. Organised at a cost of roughly INR 2 crore, the event at Central Park in Connaught Place will also set up handicraft and food kiosks, including from Dilli Haat.
Referring to this development, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia stated that even though cars will not be allowed in CP’s inner circle during the said period, special parking facilities will be made at nearby locations, such as Shivaji Stadium. It has also been stated that electric vehicles will also be deployed to facilitate people from moving to one location to another.
Also, because the entire CP area will be illuminated, the Chief Minister said that the business of traders will double up with the increased footfall.
