Setting another new record for itself, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has climbed up four spots to be the 12th busiest airport in the world. The IGIA airport has beaten up busy cosmopolitan centres like the Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Dallas Forth Worth, and Istanbul Ataturk airports.
According to the reports, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam Schiphol, Shanghai Pudong and Hong Kong, the four airports ranked above New Delhiās IGIA, dealt with about 46 lakh passengers more than the number achieved by the IGIA. In fact, reports state that if the IGIA had accomplished its expansion project on time, it would have ranked at the 10th spot in 2018.
In addition, more developments in store at the IGI airport such as IGI Airport in Delhi such as introducing of āexpress check-inā facility for handbag-only passengers flying within India.
