The Coimbatore-Bengaluru double-decker train by the Indian Railways will be flagged off on June 10 by Rajen Gohain, Union Minister of State for Railways. The flag off will also coincide with the start of a passenger lift for platforms 3 and 4 at the Coimbatore railway station. The train has been named Uday Express.

The Coimbatore-Bengaluru double-decker Uday Express comes with Wi-Fi, toilets with modular fittings, LED lighting, snack tables, arm-rest, roller blinds, and luggage racks, among other things. The toilets will eventually be upgraded to bio-toilets.
The Indian Railways is also looking to introduce two more UDAY Express trains, one between Bandra (Mumbai) and Jamnagar (Gujarat), while the other between Vishakhapatnam, and Vijaywada, both in Andhra Pradesh. Passengers have to pay 400 INR for first-class and 300 INR for second-class tickets.
