According to the news reports, a joint team comprising the DGCA, Airports Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security Office Delhi International Airport Limited and CISF under the Ministry of Civil Aviation came to the Delhi airport to examine the level of preparedness before resuming flight operations.
It will be mandatory for all passengers to download the Aarogya Setu app. In addition, passengers will have to undergo screening at departure and also wear mouth covers at the airport. Boarding will be allowed to asymptomatic passengers only.
Being a highly vulnerable sector, the aviation industry in India is one of the worst affected. Many flight attendants have been asked to go on leave without pay.
