A popular trading hub, quite famous for its yak cheese and butter, Namche is positioned on an inclined arch-shaped mountain, which gives mesmerising view of majestic Himalayan peaks throughout the valley, day and night. Namche Bazaar not only serves as a prosperous market town to buy everything you want, but also is a popular stopover for the trekkers going towards Everest expedition and other peaks around the area. This little village-town is a dominated Sherpa trading centre that seems to have it all. From Tibetan artefacts, trekking gears, information centre besides pubs restaurants and hotels, Namche has everything. Once a capital of Khumbu, where Sherpas from neighbouring villages would gather to trade their traditional arts and crafts, Namche Bazaar, till date, hasn’t forgotten its ancient culture and royal hospitality.
