Dhirubhai Ambani, who started Reliance Industries, was born here and, in the past few years, the 2-storey mansion was converted into a memorial in 2011.
Apart from that, the structure has undergone many changes in recent years, and the Ambanis have also managed to maintain the 2-storey mansion's original architecture and recreate the area where Dhirubhai Ambani lived, with wooden furniture, brass-copper utensils, and other items reflecting the family's rich cultural heritage.
This ancestral property is spread across 1.2 acres of land and is surrounded by lush greenery, which is divided into three parts, one for the public, the private coconut palm grove, and another private courtyard.
Also, the property is divided into two parts now, one is private, while the other one is for the public that has its separate entry and exit point.
If this has you interested and you get an opportunity to visit their ancestral house, do note that it remains open for tourists the entire week (except Monday) from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.
