The result of a meteor impact, Lonar Lake looks like a circular patch of sky embellished on earth. Located in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, Lonar Crater Lake attracts only a handful of tourists but hordes of scientists and wildlife enthusiasts. Arguably, it is the world’s oldest crater and contains volcanic rocks that are quite similar to those found on the Moon, Venus, Mars and Mercury.
