There is always something to do at Churchill Square, no matter what season you choose to visit. Marked by a beautiful crystal glass pyramid (City Hall) that overlooks the square, it is easy to spot this popular downtown attraction from far. In the summertime, this is where visitors and locals find a free outdoor swimming pool, basketball courts, ping pong tables and an abundance of festivals. There are craft stalls, beautiful gardens, free public Wi-Fi, plenty of shops and restaurants. In the wintertime, this area is transformed into a gorgeous public skating rink complete with music, lights and public fire pits to warm those cold hands and feet. Certain holidays bring an amazing display of fireworks while others bring live music and amazing performances here. No matter what time of the day it is, what day of the week it is or what season of the year it is, there is always an excuse to check out this popular downtown area of Edmonton.
